YASS and surrounds

The road from Golbourn took us to Yass where we spent a couple of days and even had a sunny day :).

The Camp at Yass with Pete, Kerry and Gary.

The camp was nice but it was a long walk to the facilities and water and all uphill.

There was a mob of Kangaroos across the river and we were treated to a show of strength. Just beautiful.

Lost Pete here, he decided to go to Canberra instead of Melbourne.

Took a detout through Bowning where Hubby and son worked putting the water through in 1985. Spoke to the cleaner there and yes, he remembered Laurie even before I said his name.

David ask me to get a photo of the old pub so I obliged :) unfortunately none for the blog because they are on the phone.

Next stop Harden nice little OLD town where travel mate Kerry was born.

So many beautiful old towns with the original houses still lived in.

Next stop Gundagai nothing more needs to be said.

Moving right along we headed for Holbrook to see the Submarine museum.

SYDNEY AND BEYOND

Beautiful spot again at Brocklyn and Mooney Mooney Bridge for the night with lots of rain.
Time for some photography.

I knew there would be a photo with this tree if I waited long enough.

Mountain Mist 28?02/201

Made it to the Richmond Club, only to find there were no camp sites left so did the visits and pushed on to Pheasants Nest.
Still followed by the rain.
A great free camp at the service centre with hot showers and all. Lost a hearingg aide her so will be searching the car for a week because I know it is in there somewhere.

On the road Yass where we will stay a couple of nights before checking out Bowning.

Windmills on the hill between Goulburn look awesome so I hope they work well.

Wind turbines.  Nice!

Nice peaceful camp on the river at Yass but no public facilities close.

Cheers  Barb and the crew.
