We saw a few free camps in Benalla so that is the destination for a couple of days.
Excellent camp behind the Bowls Club at the gardens, close to town with filtered water and toilets. Sounds good!
Settled in and went for a walk to see if the first camp we went to was accessable and stumbled om a Ned Kelly Museum so that filled in some time.
. And was very interesting. The other camp is too difficult to get into so we will give it a miss.
A stroll down town to find some lunch was about as successful as the other campsite. Cold pie, cold chips, a vanilla slice and a drink set me back $16.50 lesson learned .... no more bakery lunches at 3pm!
Tuesday proved to be the day of 6000 steps!
Tracey decided we should set off and do the walking track, 5.5klms. Nice walk with workout spots all along the track.
This is a sundial and yes it does work.
We planned to go again but our time was up in the free camp and there wasnt another one we liked so time to head for Shepperton.
Pulled into a shady spot along the way and had lunchbefore getting to Shepperton and just as well since we found it to be NOT tourist friendly.
No free camps and even though there was a dump point in Wikicamps it was not there.
ECHUCA next stop.
