Best keep going and find something before it gets too late.
Lakes Entrance was beautiful so I stopped for some site seeing! Great display of sculptures (which are dedicated to ou,r ANZACS) in the Marina area.
Nice view from the look out but coudnt see free camp. 😊.
Pulled into Bairnsdale about 6pm and checked into caravan park. $20 but it was a safe spot, until the rain came. I was under some branches and the leaves sounded like rocks as they hit the roof. Pity I got rid of the kayak, I could have used it to exit my van, the water was a puddle right where the manager told me to park.
Not to worry it was a nice sunny day so off to Maccas for breakfast with a senior coffee and on the road again.
Stopped at a nice rest area just before Rosedale on Monday to re-arrane a few things that were rattleing in the back of the van ad decided it was a good place to stay for the night
Went to start the car to park in a better place and it was silent in protest. Call to RACQ and a jump start and good to go. The mechanic told me of a better camp right at Rosedale with plenty of free campers there all the time.
Turned out the people camped next to me lived in the suburb next to Heather (where I was heading) and they were going home on Tuesday morning. Worked out well for me because I woke up to more rain just as they were ready to leave. Who needs a morning coffee when you can catch an escort right through the city to where you want to go.😎
Jumped into the driver's seat and the ride began, best decision I've made in 7 weeks😁 straight through to the other side of the city without getting lost. BONUS.
